Bryn Mawr College Visit Report by Backtothestars
Admissions Interview: Yes - I had a fabulous interview experience at Bryn Mawr. The admissions people are very nice. The only thing I would change is that she didn't leave me any time to ask her questions about the school.
Campus Tour: Yes - I enjoyed the tour- probably the biggest reason was because it was small due to the time of year. Tour guide was very helpful, covered everything, including Bryn Mawr's wonderful traditions.
Campus Visit Notes for Bryn Mawr College
I arrived at Bryn Mawr and had my interview first. The building that houses admissions is very pretty and reminded me a lot of the houses on Boathouse Row in Philly. The room that I waited in was also pretty nice- the secretary had some classical music on and there was coffee in there as well. I settled in and waited for a good twenty minutes (always be early!) before my interviewer came out.
The interview was really great. I've had a few other interviews already and I can say I liked Bryn Mawr's the best. My interviewer seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say and permitted me to tell her about my extracurricular experiences for quite a while. The quesitons that she asked me were easy (at least to me) and I left feeling confident. The only thing that I wish I could change is the fact that she announced that we were finished before I'd gotten to ask any questions about the school. I was a bit annoyed about this just because I'd prepared a whole list of questions. I asked a couple of them as we were walking back out.
Next was the tour- it was a bit of a rainy day and it was cold, so the campus looked a bit dreary and intimidating. My tour guide was very helpful and pointed out a lot of cool stuff on campus. She also explained the school's traditions, such as May Day, which seem unique and fun.
Overall, I think I had a good experience at Bryn Mawr. The campus is very nice and the admissions people were helpful, and I definitly wouldn't mind visiting again.
