Small selection of bars, but most students stay on campus for the social scene.Great restaurants and cool festivals. Grocery, pharmacy, etc in walking distance, though Carleton also has a free bus. [View Full Report]

Loved everything I saw. Our shuttle driver's family goes back generations and said the town-gown relationships are generally quite good. [View Full Report]

Lots of used bookshops, a record store, Sweet Lou's of course, the Contented Cow (a pub), a good Indian restaurant... Northfield's not exactly St. Paul, but it's a great area nonetheles [View Full Report]

Northfield is a small town, readily avaiable to the campus. There are several restaurants that would appeal to students, with not unreasonable prices. St. Olaf is just down the road. Students are not allowed cars, but the Twin Cities are 35 mi away and [View Full Report]
