Visit Activities:


Information Session: No - combined with campus tour. they hold specific information sessions for the different colleges.

Campus Tour: Yes - We opted for the Campus tour and then my son did the Freshman Experience tour. Our tour guide was a May graduate and he was friendly and well informed.

Classroom Visit: Yes - we saw the engineering school. very modern central meeting area. saw classrooms in art school. standard.

First day of classes so things a bit hectic but glad able to see a campus full of student.

went to see financial aid officer. Quite helpful and glad to inform even though we live in Spain and quite confused about system



Appearance of Campus:

Construction going on. Bridges look awful to prevent suicides but the campus is really beautiful, cayuga lake, bell tower and cornell plantations.



Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:

Dormitories:

Freshman Experience Tour. My son got to see a typical suite, single room etc. Good idea.



Security/Safety:

Typical Blue light system. Feels very safe being so remote from a big city.

Lively College town. Bagels, starbucks etc.

Campus Visit Notes for Cornell University


Visit Description:

Had Pizza from the Nines (restaurant in College Town). My sons loved it.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Courtyard Inn. excellent if have car. get to campus thru north campus and get to see beautiful homes in Ithaca Heights just outside campus. huge shopping mall right by the hotel

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

ate at Cornell dining. paid 10 dollars for all you could eat in Willard Stright Hall. Excellent quality.
