Not the most appealing place. I wouldn't want my kid living off campus! [View Full Report]

I feel that Duke enriches Durham instead of Durham enriching Duke. There is not much to do in the Durham area. Chapel Hill and Raleigh appear to offer more social options than Durham. [View Full Report]

My mom went to some mall in Durham about 3 exits away from the Duke campus exit. The mall was nice. The people were nice. Friendly people. [View Full Report]

I didn't see much of the city. It looked...not so great. Although Duke is in the midst of Durham, it feels quite isolated. I felt a great sense of atmosphere on campus, despite the surrounding [View Full Report]

Durham is not the ideal college town. Crime is indeed a problem and the town is a bit rundown, but it is not too bad. There are several great restaurants surrounding the city. [View Full Report]

Durham is a nice little town; my only problem was the lack of things to do off campus. There wasn't much shopping or eateries to visit. [View Full Report]

Very friendly atmosphere of smart intellectuals. Even at 3am in the morning where normal people are asleep, you can still find groups of students studying or doing a project. [View Full Report]

Can't say too well because we didn't really visit Durham proper. It is a mid-sized city that might have some rough parts, but they weren't anywhere near campus. [View Full Report]

I loved Duke, but I hated Durham. Perhaps I drove through the wrong part of town, but I was amazed that such a poor town could be the home to such an excellent University such as Duke. That was just my first impression of the town and perhaps it will ch [View Full Report]

Durham isn't the best college town, but it could be worse. From what I heard, if you want to go off campus, most students go to Chapel Hill. [View Full Report]
