Visit Activities:

Admissions Interview: Yes - I had a lot of fun with this interview. The conversation flowed very well and we ended up running over the time limit. I felt very comfortable.

Information Session: Yes - Generic. Sat in an auditorium and listened to a few people yak. Thorough answers to questions.

Campus Tour: Yes - Absolutely terrible: very large group (20-30 people), difficulty hearing the guide, no opportunity to ask questions. However, I visited in the summer so perhaps the school year offers smaller tours.

As it was summer I only met the tour guides but they were polite and put-together. However, I couldn't really judge their personalities.

I fell in love with the campus.

Surrounded by the other colleges, a wealthy residential area, and the village. Very safe, very clean, very walkable.

City/Town/Community:

I adore Claremont, but I grew up visiting family there so I am biased. Adorable town - not a crazy fun town. It is wealthy and white but you don't have to go far to find more diverse demographics

Campus Visit Notes for Pomona College

Visit Description:

Seriously, this was the worst tour I have ever had - so bad I left early! When I could hear the tour guide she was dull and sterile. I didn't learn a thing from her dialogue so I went off to explore on my own.
