Washington and Lee University Visit Report by McGinNC
Admissions Interview: Yes - Admissions representative was best of the best. She was well versed on the school, admissions, AND my daughter's application. She spent as much time providing information as "interviewing.
Information Session: Yes - Concise and informative- did not try to over sell.
Campus Tour: Yes - Informative, without overkill. Less scripted than some other places - felt like we were hearing about the school in the student's own words rather than reading from a script.
Classroom Visit: Yes - The worst part of the visit - did not pick a particularly good class - but were limited due to time constraints.
Campus Visit Notes for Washington and Lee University
W&L tells a consistent story - whether you are talking to admissions office, students, professors or alumni.
Friendly students, close interaction b/w students and professors, work-hard/play-hard, great outdoor opportunities, active Greek system, small classes, strong honor system and a love of W&L.
Everything we saw and heard on our visit lead us to believe that W&L is delivering on the story it is telling.
