Visit Activities:


Admissions Interview: Yes - If visiting, get an interview. Extremely helpful, and I believe that I was admitted to the school because of my interview. Interviews are about 30 minutes then parent discussion with interviwer

Information Session: Yes - Was not overly helpful but nice break from touring and interviewing.

Campus Tour: Yes - Great to walk around the campus and see the facilites but they do not allow you to tour dorms on Saturday mornings.

Granted I went on a Saturday morning and maybe saw 10 students, but all were polite and said hello and some asked questions.

Invited into the admissions building by a warm secretary and a beautiful fire, but it was a cold rainy day.



Appearance of Campus:
4 - Very Good

Beautiful campus located in the quaint town of Lexington. In the countryside but still in downtown. Only dislike is that VMI is literally right next door.



Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:
4 - Very Good
4 - Very Good
Students do a tremendous job of keping the Colonnade clean.



Dormitories:
3 - Good
3 - Good
Can not comment.



Security/Safety:
5 - Excellent
5 - Excellent
The Student Honor System basically is the security and the only stolen good was an I-Pod taken by a man who had wondered on campus.



Overall Campus Impression:
5 - Excellent
5 - Excellent
If you are looking for a Small LAS W&L is a great place but not for everyone.


Off-Campus:



Area Immediately Around Campus:

A small town with not a lot to do, but W&L has a reputation.



City/Town/Community:
4 - Very Good

Friendly people, who respect all W&L students.

Try and find one of the B&Bs or be prepared for the Days Inn or Best Western.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

Great cafes for breakfast and lunch, can't comment on dinner.
