One of the most beautiful campuses in the country. I can't wait to see it in the fall.

The 70's science center sticks out like a sore thumb, but the new student center is very nice.

The historical dorms (especially Tower Court) are some of the prettiest I've seen. The rooms are sufficiently sized, and the ones in the "new" dorms are quite large.

Security/Safety:

The campus could be better lit at night. It's in a quiet suburb, and feels safe.

Located in a quiet, rich suburb. There is access to commuter rail, and there is a Gap and other stores and restaurants in the 'ville'.

City/Town/Community:

Boston is 12 miles east of campus, and there is a bus or commuter rail, but it does seem like a bit of a hassle. There is a mall and other shopping in the town over (Natick).

Campus Visit Notes for Wellesley College

Visit Description:

I visited during spring open campus as an admitted student. I was very impressed with the campus, the students, and what I heard from the faculty and alumnae during panels. The whole event was very well organized, and I thought, really showcased what the college offers.

I was quite surprised when I went up to an admissions officer to ask a question, and seeing my nametag, started talking to me about some unique parts of my application and activities. She was extremely helpful and fun and easy to talk to. I think it are those special touches and the promise of individual diversity that makes Wellesley really great.

My visit helped me decide to enroll at Wellesley this fall.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

My mom stayed at the Hampton Inn in Natick, about a 5 mile drive west.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

Make sure you have a map when traveling to and from campus. Although someone gave us directions, we still had a hard time finding the mass pike to get to the airport.
